Delete your Dropalo account

This page explains how to delete your Dropalo account and associated data, operated by Dropalo UK Ltd. You can request deletion whether or not you still have the app installed.

Option 1 — In the app

  1. Open Dropalo → Settings.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account is deleted and your personal data is anonymised immediately, as explained below.

Option 2 — If you have uninstalled the app or cannot log in

Email privacy@dropalo.uk from the email address on your account, with the subject Account deletion request. Include the email or username associated with your account so we can verify ownership.

  • Response time: we aim to acknowledge within 7 days and complete verified deletion within 30 days.
  • You can also use the public contact route at https://dropalo.co.uk/contact/ if you cannot email directly.

What is deleted or anonymised

On deletion we anonymise your directly identifying data. Email, username and display name are replaced; phone, avatar, bio, sign-in identifiers, push tokens and stored location are removed. Active sessions and refresh tokens are revoked so the account can no longer be used. Content you posted, such as Drops and comments, is de-identified from you.

What may be retained and why

  • Payment / accounting records — retained for tax and accounting obligations, up to 6 years in the UK where required.
  • Safety / moderation records — retained to protect the community and meet legal obligations.
  • These records are kept against an opaque identifier and do not re-identify you after deletion.

Before you delete — subscriptions

Deleting your Dropalo account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel any active subscription in Google Play → Subscriptions or the App Store to avoid further charges.

Your rights

You may also request access to, or correction of, your data. See our Privacy Policy for details and our data-protection contact.
