Dropalo UK Ltd. knows that you take your privacy seriously. We do, too. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use the Dropalo website and app.

By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read this policy and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personally identifiable information and other information as well as all data practices described in this policy.

What data do we collect?

Dropalo collects the following personally identifiable information from each user:

Full name
Email address
Phone number
Date of birth
Name and email address of any referral you provide
Location — you must opt in to share your location when using the Services. If you opt in to background location, Dropalo will collect location data when the app is closed.
Photographs you upload, social media accounts, links you upload, messages you send and information you drop

Dropalo also collects the following non-personally identifiable information:

Your past Drops — not visible to other users after expiry, but accessible by Dropalo for up to 24 months after posting
Device information including hardware, operating system, unique ID, IP address, sensor data, browser type, language and wireless network

How do we collect your data?

Dropalo collects data directly from you in the following ways:

When you register for an account and complete your user profile
When you voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback
When you email us
When you use or view the Services via your browser’s cookies
When you post a Drop
When you provide a referral name and email address

Location services

Some features require you to provide your location. If you opt in, we automatically receive data about your precise location whenever you use the Services. Your location is never shared with others except by your use of the Services when you make a Drop.

If you opt in to background location, we will collect location data when the Services are closed on your device. You may change this in your device settings at any time.

Dropalo also receives data indirectly from Google Analytics to improve the Services, conduct research, and develop new features.

How will we use your data?

Dropalo collects your data so that we can:

Provide you with access to the Services through your personalised login
Enable location-based features and provide relevant information
Ensure all features of the Services are age-appropriate
Ensure your safety and the safety of others while using the Services
Email you to inform you of any important news or updates related to the Services
Better understand how you interact with the Services to improve them over time

How do we store your data?

Dropalo takes every precaution to ensure your data is stored securely by:

Restricting staff and network access
Using multi-layered authentication and encryption
Implementing advanced security measures to prevent unauthorised access

Data retention

Dropalo does not retain your data after you delete your account
All user data is permanently and immediately deleted from our servers once an account is deleted via the Dropalo app
We do not store, archive, or back up user data after deletion
Referral data is stored for up to 1 week before being automatically deleted

Disclosure of your data

Internal

You will always have control over what information other users can see. When you use the Services, authorised users will be able to see a Drop you post, subject to the limitations you authorise. You may choose to make anonymous Drops to prevent unknown users from receiving your personal information.

External

Dropalo does not share, licence or sell your data to any other organisation.

However, Dropalo will cooperate with relevant authorities to protect the rights and security of its Services, customers and employees. We may share data:

If required to do so by law or legal process (such as a court order or subpoena)
In response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement
To establish, exercise or defend our legal rights
When disclosure is necessary to prevent physical or financial harm
In connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity
To protect the rights, property or safety of Dropalo, our employees, or users

Child Safety and Child Abuse Policy

Dropalo is committed to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all users. We have a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation, abuse, or any form of harmful content involving minors.

If you encounter any such content or behaviour on our platform, report it immediately.

Protecting your privacy

Dropalo is committed to protecting your privacy through security measures including passwords on email servers and limiting access to computers with sensitive information.

The internet is inherently open and subject to interception of information. We cannot guarantee that information you provide over the internet will not be intercepted by third parties while it is being communicated.

Children under 13

Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from individuals under the age of 13, or such other age as may be directed by applicable law.

Marketing

Dropalo would like to send you information about our updated products and services as well as those of our partner companies, which include Xrosp Technologies Ltd.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date. You have the right at any time to stop Dropalo from contacting you for marketing purposes. You may make changes to your marketing preferences in your account settings.

What are your data protection rights?

Every Dropalo user is entitled to the following rights:

The right to access and transfer — You have the right to request a copy of your personal data that we have stored. We may charge a small fee for this service.
The right to correction — You have the right to request a correction to any information held about you that you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to erasure — You have the right to request that your personal data be erased, subject to our safety policies.
The right to restrict processing — You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, subject to our safety and security practices.
The right to object to processing — You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, subject to our safety and security practices.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at admin@dropalo.uk.

These rights may be limited in certain circumstances, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal data about another person, infringe the rights of a third party, or cause us to delete information we are required by law to keep. Relevant exemptions are included in the GDPR and local implementing legislation.

Deleting your account

At Dropalo, we respect your right to privacy and data control. If you choose to delete your account, your data will be permanently and immediately removed from our servers. We do not retain any user information after an account is deleted.

How to delete your account

Open the Dropalo app on your mobile device

Log in with your credentials

Tap on your profile icon or username

Navigate to the “Account” or “Privacy & Security” section

Select “Delete My Account” or “Close Account”

Confirm your decision — Dropalo may ask for a reason

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted

Once deleted, your account and all associated data cannot be recovered. Dropalo does not retain your data for any period after deletion — your information is permanently removed from our servers immediately. If you need help, contact support@dropalo.uk. Please allow 48 hours for a response.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. No personally identifiable information is stored in these cookies.

Understanding how you interact with the Services to optimise them for your benefit

At this time, Dropalo only uses cookies to track referral links and use Google Analytics to better understand your use of the Services.
