Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may and may not do when using the Dropalo app, web app and related services. It supplements our App Terms of Use.

This policy applies to all users of Dropalo services. Use of Dropalo constitutes acceptance of this policy alongside our App Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

Overview

Dropalo provides a location-based messaging platform that lets people create and discover time-bound, location-aware messages called Drops. This policy describes the standards of acceptable use that protect the safety, integrity and trust of all users.

Permitted use

You may use Dropalo to:

  • Share genuine local information, updates, offers and announcements
  • Coordinate groups, meetups and events in your local area
  • Promote legitimate local business offers and services
  • Share useful safety notices and community alerts
  • Discover what is happening nearby and connect with local communities

Prohibited conduct

You must not use Dropalo to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Harass, abuse, threaten or intimidate other users
  • Impersonate any person, organisation or official body
  • Spread misinformation, false reports or deliberately misleading content
  • Conduct fraudulent activity, phishing or scams
  • Spam users with unsolicited commercial messages
  • Share another person’s private information without consent
  • Misuse emergency or SOS features
  • Interfere with the technical operation of the platform

Content standards

All content you post must comply with our Community Guidelines. Content that is illegal, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, exploitative or harmful to minors is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account action.

Technical restrictions

  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the Dropalo platform
  • Do not use automated tools to scrape, harvest or extract data
  • Do not attempt to circumvent authentication, security measures or access controls
  • Do not introduce malware, viruses or harmful code

Enforcement

Dropalo reserves the right to remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts where this policy is breached. We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities where use of our platform involves illegal activity.
